Juan Jose's Bonsai
Bonsai cocktail listed in the legendary Difford's Guide, created by @juan_jose_liza of American Bar at The Savoy Hotel in London and the UK winner of Art of ITALICUS 2021-22 Challenge.
He says "inspiration (came) from the Bamboo cocktail, my roots from South of Spain and my travelling time in Asia". We will miss him relocating to Jigger & Pony in Singapore.
45ml Fino Sherry
25ml Umeshu
15ml Ancho Reyes
10ml Palo Cortado
2 dashes of Absinthe
Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish: orange zest discarded.
